Using recognizable, bodily forms of a tree I create body adornment that attracts attention through vibrant color and sizeable proportions. In nature Green is equated with growth and life but this radioactive shade of green has transformed the twigs into something alien and magical. The dream like twig forms are used in mass and feel oddly familiar besides their bright and toxic glow. These pieces take on a look of absurd bling through the combination of twigs, colorful paint, copper, rubber, and other mixed media materials. The ephemeral nature of this work relates back to the human body, both are transient and will eventually fade.
